754 Procedures Included in YSR Aarogyasri Scheme

District teaching hospital to function as nodal centre for PHCs, CHCs, and village clinics

For better management of healthcare services, Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has stated that all village clinics and health centres must be connected to the district teaching and general hospital. All PHCs, CHCs, and village clinics need to report to the district teaching hospital, which serves as their parent organisation. A system has to be put in place where one dean manages the district teaching hospital and the other dean manages the other health facilities in the district.

Scheme Benefits Extended to More Districts

The Aarogyasri project which was started in January in the West Godavari district, with 2059 medical ailments and only 1059 procedures provided is now going to be extended. Monday 13th June 2020 extension order was given by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to the officials. Now from July 16, 2020, the pilot project of the state government of Andhra Pradesh has been extended to six more districts namely Kadapa, Kurnool, Prakasam, Guntur, Vizianagaram, and Visakhapatnam to those whose medical expenses exceed Rs 1,000.
