tbocwwb.telangana.gov.in:- The Government of Telangana State established the Telangana Building & Other Construction Workers Welfare Board in accordance with Section 18 of the Building & Other Construction Workers (RE&CS) Act, 1996. The Board was operational on September 17, 2014. The main objective of the board is to devise and execute different welfare programmes that will benefit the state’s building and other construction workers.

Three parties make up the Telangana Building & Other Construction Workers Welfare Board: government representatives, employer representatives, and worker representatives. More than 8.85 lakh construction workers have been registered as beneficiaries by the Board through extensive drives. The Board has also developed and implemented a number of schemes, including those for marriage gifts, maternity benefits, fatal accident relief, disability relief, natural death relief, hospitalisation relief, funeral expenses, and pension schemes (NPS).

A construction worker is an individual hired to perform any manual, supervisory, technical, clerical, skilled, semi-skilled or unskilled labour for pay or reward, whether the terms of employment are stated explicitly or implicitly, in connection with any building or other construction work.
