YSR Pension Kanuka Status

01st July 2024 Update:- The chief minister of Andhra Pradesh introduces the NTR Bharosa Pension Plan and allots Rs 4,408 Cr to 65.31 lakh beneficiaries.

On July 1, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu began distributing ₹4,408 crore in social security pensions under the NTR Bharosa Pension Scheme in Penumaka village under the Mangalagiri Assembly segment. The initiative, which encompassed 28 different categories, provided substantial reimbursements to 65.31 lakh participants throughout the state.  He declared that it was the start of a new era in welfare, but he insisted that the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) was to blame for the misery of many people and the problems faced by the elderly. The TDP Government led by N.T. Rama Rao had begun providing pensions to the needy in 1994–1995 at that time; the monthly pension bill was only ₹35. Mr. Naidu stated that going forward, the monthly pension bill will be approximately ₹33,100 crore.

NTR Bharosa Pension Scheme Enhanced Pension Disbursement Date

For those receiving a pension of Rs. 4,000

Regarding the 4000-rupee pensions indicated above, the enhanced sum of 4000 will be issued as Rs. 7000 starting next month, on July 1, 2024, from the first of April 2024, or 3000 for these three months (April, May, and June). As per usual, pension payments of four thousand rupees will be made starting in August.

For other pensioners

All other pensioners, except those who receive Rs. 4,000, will receive the higher amount starting on July 1, 2024.

Features of NTR Bharosa Pension Scheme 2024

The features of the scheme are mentioned below:

  • By the categories listed above, the beneficiaries would get the higher pension on April 1, 2024, and it would be paid out on July 1, 2024, together with the three months’ arrears. Therefore, ₹7,000 would be the amount to be distributed in July. From then on, ₹4,000 would be paid out each month.
  • The government also mandated that the ₹3,000 monthly pension for disabled people—which encompassed both people with leprosy and those without disabilities—be increased to ₹6,000 for those with multiple deformities. Those who are totally incapacitated will receive an increased pension each month from the current ₹5,000 to ₹15,000.
  • When it comes to chronic diseases such as Bilateral Elephantiasis-Grade 4, kidney, liver and heart transplant, and CKDU not on dialysis (CKD serum creatinine of >5 mg, CKD estimated GFR <15 ml, CKD small contracted kidney), the pension was increased to ₹10,000 per month from the existing ₹5,000.

Beneficiaries of the scheme will get ₹7,000 in July, which includes three months’ arrears; after that, they will receive ₹4,000 per month; individuals with disabilities will receive ₹6,000 per month, and those with chronic illnesses ₹10,000 per month.
