Objective of NSP Merit List

A merit list is one of those lists that can give students or applicants who have ever applied for a scholarship some kind of assurance regarding whether or not their names have been listed on the NSP Merit List. What Happens If a Student’s Name Is Not on the NSP Merit List?

A student is not qualified to earn the NSP scholarship if their name is not on the NSP Merit List. Being left off the NSP Merit List could be for a number of reasons, including the application being turned down by the NSP or at the institute, district, or state level. Furthermore, the student might not be qualified for the national scholarship or might have submitted inaccurate or insufficient information or documentation.

Documents Required

The applicant must submit the following documents to apply for the national scholarship scheme: –

  • Verification Form provided by the educational institution
  • Student’s Photograph
  • Self-Certified Community Certificate from the applicant attaining 18 years of age/others
  • Community Certificate certified by parent/guardian
  • Income Certificate issued by the competent authority in the State/UT Government
  • Fee Receipt of ‘Current Course Year’
  • For Scholarships under the MCM-based Scheme, students have to upload a self-attested mark sheet, indicating 50% marks and above in the last qualifying exam at higher secondary/graduation level
  • Residential/Domicile Certificate
  • Student’s bank account number with the IFSC Code of the bank branch (regarding Pre-Matric Scheme, bank account number with the IFSC code of the parents/guardians
  • Bonafide Student Certificate from School/Institute, if located in a State/UT different from domicile State/UT
  • Student’s Aadhaar card number or bonafide student certificate from the school/institute, and scanned copies of Aadhaar enrolment ID (if applied for Aadhaar) and bank passbook

  • The information pertaining to the scholarship application will also be shown on a new page.
  • On that page, select the academic year and type of study, after which select your ministry and the scheme’s specifics.
  • To obtain the NSP Merit List, enter the captcha/verification code and click “Submit”.
  • The screen will show the NSP Merit List for 2023. To see if your name is in the list, check it.
