  • The polling office added that the highest number of nomination forms received was 77 for the Osmanabad Parliamentary Constituency in Maharashtra, and the highest number was 68 for Bilaspur in Chhattisgarh.
  • Eight candidates from Madhya Pradesh’s Betul seat, where the election was scheduled to take place in the second phase but was moved to the third due to the BSP candidate’s death, are among the 1,563 nominations.
  • Eight competitors withdrew their nominations, the Congress nominee’s candidature was annulled, and Mukesh Dalal, the BJP candidate for the Surat seat in Gujarat, was elected without opposition.
  • Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Dadra and Nagar Mahaveli and Daman and Diw, Goa, Gujarat, Jammu and Kashmir, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal are the 12 states and union territories that will cast ballots in Phase 3 of the LS General Election 2024.
