The scheme has been launched for small businessmen in the Andhra Pradesh state. The small businessman will include all of the Tailors, laundrymen, and hairdressers or barbers of the Andhra Pradesh state.  Through the implementation of the scheme, many incentives will be provided to all of the small businesses on the work of laundrymen, hairdressers, and tailors. The Rs. 10,000 incentive will be provided on yearly basis and will also boost the economy of the Andhra Pradesh state.

Jagananna Chedodu Scheme Second Tranche

The chief minister of Andhra Pradesh YS Jagan Mohan Reddy launched the second edition of the tranche of the Jagananna Chedodu Scheme on 8th February 2022. Through this tranche fund of Rs 285.35 crores has been credited into the accounts of 2285350 citizens from rajakas, nayee brahmins, and tailor belongings to all communities. This fund has been transferred through the virtual Launch taking place at the Tadepalli camp office. Beneficiaries will be provided the one-time amount of Rs 10000 under this scheme. The beneficiaries can utilize this fund for purchasing tools, equipment, and other essentials. In order to grow their source of income and work establishment this scheme will fulfill their investment needs.

Rs 583.78 Crores Transferred Till Now Under Jagananna Chedodu Scheme

Till now the Government of Andhra Pradesh has disbursed Rs 583.78 crores under this scheme. This scheme has been launched in order to provide funds to the tailors, washermen, barbers, etc who have lost their livelihood due to covid-19. The fund provided under this scheme will be transferred into the bank account of the beneficiaries through direct benefit transfer. The beneficiaries will be identified and shortlisted through a survey. A list of qualified applicants in village and ward secretaries will be presented and from this list, a social audit will be carried out and beneficiaries will be chosen.

Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh State YSR Jagan Mohan Reddy started the chedodu scheme on Wednesday 10th June by transferring the benefits of Rs. 10000/-in the account of each beneficiary. The state government has issued a number of Rs. 247.04 crores for about 2.47 Lakh beneficiaries. Under this scheme amount will transfer to the bank account of 82,347 Rajakas, 38,767 Nayee Brahmins, and 1.25 lakh tailors. Not only this the government has also decided to extend the benefits of this scheme to barbers who own a shop.

There are many benefits of the scheme, one is the availability of funds for the people who carry on small businesses and also for the people whose income is very small. Incentives will be provided to the three categories which are included under the scheme is Tailors, laundrymen, and hairdressers. The incentive will then be used by the beneficiaries to carry on the everyday procedures or to send their children to school as many of them are not able to afford the education of the children.

The applicants must be eligible to apply for the scheme by the following eligibility criteria given below:-

  • The applicant must be a permanent resident of Andhra Pradesh state.
  • An applicant must be a tailor, hairdresser or laundrymen.

  • On the home page, you will find the “Know Your Secretariat” option which is available in the menu bar
  • A list appears from where you need to choose your district name
  • Hit the link given in the column (urban or rural) in front of your district name as per your locality
  • Hit the Mandal name from the list appear further and choose the link, given opposite to your Mandal name
  • Note down your secretariat code appear on the screen
