Eligibility Criteria for ISRO Internship & Student Project Trainee Scheme

Before applying for scheme, make sure you fulfill all the eligibility criteria mentioned below:

INTERNSHIP SCHEME
  • For Indian citizens pursuing undergraduate, graduate, or doctoral degrees in science or technology at accredited Indian or international universities, internship opportunities are available, provided they are completed within six months after application.
  • The duration of the Internship work will be a maximum term of 45 days.
    The student’s cumulative grade point average must be at least 60%, or 6.32 on a ten-point scale.
STUDENT PROJECT TRAINEE SCHEME

The following group of students, who meet the requirements listed below for required educational eligibility, will be allowed to apply offline:

  • The student’s course compatibility for the work being done at the relevant Center/Unit, as well as the availability of projects, expertise, and facilities, will determine which students will be assigned to which internship or project.
  • Every application will be reviewed by the relevant Center/Unit in accordance with the guidelines.

Features of ISRO Internship & Student Project Trainee Scheme

Following are the features of the scheme.

  • Project trainees and interns will get certificates upon completing their projects and internships, as well as upon submitting their assignment reports for review and assessment by the relevant division heads.
  • Project trainees and interns are only allowed access to UNCLASSIFIED parts of DoS and ISRO laboratories and establishments.
  • When releasing documents or reports through outside agents about work completed at DoS/ISRO Centers/Units, Project Trainees and Interns must obtain permission from the Centers/Units.
  • The project interns and trainees will not be qualified for any kind of financial aid, compensation, or stipend.
  • During their internship at DoS/ISRO Centers/Units, project trainees and interns are not eligible to stay in housing. However, centers and units have the option to offer guest house and hostel accommodations, based on availability, at a fee, or to offer shared quarters for lodging. Fees must be collected in the same manner as employees. Canteen amenities for students will be provided on an equal basis with those for regular staff
