Assamese government services can now be applied for online through the SewaSewa Portal. Citizens can apply online from home for a total of 307 Services offered by the Portal. The SewaSetu Portal allows citizens to monitor the application’s progress as well. For the convenience of the public, the Chief Minister of Assam has introduced the Doorstep Service System. Previously, it was quite difficult to pay land revenue tax, apply for PRCs, other licences, and register for government services. 307 government services are now available online for use from home. The Chief Minister is attempting to reduce the burden associated with applying for government service.

The SewaSetu Portal will enable people in Assam to apply for a range of certifications, register for licences, apply for employment exchange cards, apply for new connections across departments, apply for permissions and permits, apply for various bill payments, and more.   • Business Services: The portal provides services like arms licences, trade licences, and more under the Business Services section.
  • Citizens Services:  Citizens can obtain services including driving licences, marriage certificates, income certificates, caste certificates, birth and death certificates, senior citizen certificates, and more under the category of “Citizen Services.”
